Do not trust the Baby

Well I finally got Gordon to help me lower Kye's mattress in the crib tonight. We heard a loud thump from his room about 2 hours after I laid him down (sound asleep) for the night, and went running back there. Kye was standing up in his crib n was pushing the hanging rack i have hanging up on the corner next to the door back n forth. It had hit the gate and knocked it over.

Funny .... Except -

He was leaning over the edge himself. Proud as a Peacock too. Laughing and squealing now that he had an audience just pushing the plastic hanging rack back and forth.

Sorry I didn't get any pic.s ... now that it's over and I can sit down and laugh about it I wish I had gotten some. Any way.. I'll have to put some up later of him crawling around. He's pleased with himself over this ability to seek out cords and paper to chew on.

We Have A Photographer In The Family

Well it seems that we have a little budding picture taker. These were all taken by Levi with my cell phone.

There are a lot more pic.s but i'm not going to pose them all on here. He is getting a cam for his b-day so i'm sure i'll be posting alot more then

Oh The Joys Of Being A Parent

Beware the antics of a 4 yr old. To be a parent of a toddler/preschooler I've found you must be more imaginative then they are or

1. You will never find those Easter Eggs they hide,
2. You will never find the cat they have hidden away until you make it a game, and then you don't find her.... your child will come running in saying "Look what I found".
3. If they don't want to wear it, clothing WILL disappear.
4. Your cell phone will be replaced a few times, you will find things on it you know you didn't put there, and please PLEASE don't let it die before you find it.
5. Once you have taught your child their numbers and how to call out on speed dial.... hide your cell phone 'cuz they will use it if you take a nap.
6. Should you wake up later than your child and he has decided to make you breakfast, pray he didn't discover how fun it is to use the can of Pam..... or hope it was almost empty.

and the last lesson I have learned so far -

7. If your child does not want to eat his lunch because he wanted hot dogs instead be wary if he brings you an empty plate and it looks like it has been scraped clean. It probably isn't in the garbage can because he expects you to look there... instead check the empty drawers under his bed. Should you have dogs they will love him.

The New Dog

So the story behind Lady is this -

Gordon was too tired to drive all the way home and had pulled off at the area on Apex that the semi's park for their naps. During the night he heard a thumping on the door and when he looked out the window a doggy face jumped up into view. (LOL he said it was worse then when he was woken up by the cops that one time). He gave her something to drink and shooed her away.

When he woke up in the morning she was still there and he gave her another huge glass of water. When he looked her over she appeared to be a good dog but very skinny so he took her to the vet because she was groomed and well taken care of so he figured she was some one's pet.

Well the vet was able to locate her first owner because she had a chip in her but the original owner had given her to a another person and that person had sold her to another person on Craig's list. The last owner wasn't able to be gotten a hold of so after two days Gordon when back to the vet's and paid the fee's and brought her home.

She was staying with Grandma (and that's how she got the name of Lady) but she dug up a sprinkler head and chewed on some of her BBQ stuff and somehow ripped off some of the stuff on the wall under her sliding glass door so we have her again.

But we're happy with her back even if it is one more dog we don't need since we already have 4. Levi can't stop trying to get her to play fetch and chase him and Kye is just happy to lay there and push with his feet or grab handfuls of hair.

Kye Has A New Tooth

Well I wanted to make sure that Kye's new tooth was in before i wrote a post. It came in on the 20th and I've been trying to get a pic were you can see it but his tongue likes to get in the way.

His tooth is on the bottom and he has anouther one comeing next to it and one on top it looks like.

Since I couldn't get a pic of his tooth i'm just going to put up these two pic.s of him and Levi playing. Yes Kye is on all fours and somewhat crawling :-)

Kye Loves His Applesauce

As you can see he grabs the spoon to keep it in his mouth. He throws a fit every time i have t take it away to put more on it. even having a bitter bisket n a little toy spoon thing for him isn't enough to keep his hands busy so we can feed him. Gonna try n give him carrots or sweat potato next week... see if he'll eat them since he flat out vetoed the cereal.

Kye's First Tooth ....... I hope

Well it seems that my baby boy might be getting his first tooth. All the drooling and crying seems to finally have a meaning behind it.
Kye has a small bump on his lower gum now and he's very happy to chew on anything that he can put in his mouth. lol We'll see how soon it breaks through cuz he is cranky and drooly and i really would love a real nap time again ... not to mention a full nights sleep like we were finally doing again.

I'm getting a headache

The school here is giving me a huge headache. I can't believe how they act. It's enough to make you want to home-school your kid.



I got a letter as you already know saying he wasn't eligible for Kindergarten. Well this week I get another one. It states I have the choice of having him repeat the 4Th yr old program or he can repeat it and go to kindergarten and we can work out something for lunch. Because she taught him soooooooo much this year? LOL it's Laughable.

So I called the State Board and talked to the lady that used to be over the Early Childhood Educ. dept. and she told me that she believed the law hadn't changed and that the only requirement that was needed to enter Kindergarten was to be 5 by Sept. 30Th. That the test is only applicable for going into 1st grade and that's to see if the child can go without having attended Kindergarten; but she gave me the number to contact the head of that department to make sure she hadn't given me wrong information.
That lady stated the same thing. He is qualified to enter Kindergarten because his b-day is in July and he will be 5 by start of the '09-'10 year. She also said feel free to give them my number if they (the school) have any questions/problems, and to call back if there is any more problems.

I have decided to play along with (the bitch) principle and see just how far she intends to go with this, but if Levi wont be allowed to start Kindergarten without following through with her decided stipulations I will push the issue and I will involve the State Board.

Here it goes

Well I'm not really sure what i'm doing but i'm going to give it a shot. Figured this was a good way to keep everyone updated on how we all were doing. Plus this is sooooo much cheaper than snail-mail. LOL... Hopefully i'll get better at this as time goes on and I wont feel like i'm rambling as much.



Levi has finished with pre-k but we're not sure if he'll be going on to kindergarten or not thanx to the brilliance of his teacher. I swear he went to a day care all year long not a class room. He had a higher score for the brigance test when he started the year than when he finished the year. All the time the principle and vice principle kept saying i only had issues with how he was being taught was because i just was upset he didn't have his old teacher for this year was true... I was upset... His old teacher actually knew what she was doing.


Kye is doing well... He still looks like a little midget but he is getting longer and slowly growing out of the sizes of diapers he was in and into longer clothing. He isn't filling them out so much as needing the longer lengthes.
